Founder

Rhonda Fleischer created the Princess Warriors program, curriculum, and related activity books with her own 6 year old daughter in mind. She leads Princess Warrior circles in Nyack, New York and supports the establishment of new circles wherever there is the will to give girls the gift of voice and community.

Rhonda has 20 years’ experience in cross-cultural child and family services and life skills training at local and international human service settings. She has a Bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Cornell University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. Most recently, Rhonda served as the Cultural Orientation Coordinator for RSC Africa in Kenya, overseeing training for refugee children, youth and adults from Sub-Saharan Africa resettling to the U.S. She created Princess Warriors upon her return to the U.S. in the Fall of 2014.

Rhonda is the mother of two and finds her own inspiration from the power of peer communities, the wisdom passed on from cultural tradition, and the resilience of the human spirit.
