Journeys for Girls aged 6 to 9 are 10-week programs based on a cohesive curriculum that helps girls learn social and emotional skills, build confidence, realize the support of elders and nature, share accomplishments with a circle of friends, and help the world through a cause of their choosing. Girls earn ribbons of accomplishment, as set out in program activity books, and they are honored at a final rite of passage celebration. Girls may join a Circle at the start of a new program, which is usually in Fall and early Spring.
Girl Warrior Circles bring together girls ages 9 and up in a supportive community of friendship, creative expression and social action. Girls learn leadership, social and communication skills through self-directed service learning projects. Circles help girls to strengthen their voice and use their power for good.
Workshops & Events help girls realize the power within them and with each other through shorter term workshops and events. Customized programs are adapted to the needs of an existing group.
Facilitator Training prepares women who are passionate about girl power to lead Princess Warrior programs in their area. The online training orients facilitators to the curriculum, effective facilitation skills, and other aspects of running an engaging group for girls. Ongoing technical support is available, as well. This training supplements the Facilitator Guide, lesson plans and training materials for facilitators.
